Red Rock Country Club features varied architecture
The "Home of the Month" at Red Rock Country Club in Summerlin is Plan 2201 in The Mesquite Collection, a two-story home priced from the $500,000s. The Mesquite Collection, which offers four floor plans ranging from 3,188 to 4,295 square feet, features Spanish colonial, Italianate and Americana architectural styles. Plan 2201 measures 3,188 square feet with three bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, an optional casita and split three-car garage. According to Karin Stiles, vice president of sales, the home's first-floor owner suite with a fireplace, media niche and walk-in closet is a popular feature. "The convenience of a downstairs master bedroom is key, particularly for families and those who like to host out-of-town guests," Stiles said. "In addition, the optional casita is another feature that is popular with our buyers, as it can be built to function as a bedroom or home office." The home also features a courtyard entry that leads into a grand foyer and arcade, which is adjacent to a separate dining room with access to a covered porch, family room with fireplace, and media niche. Its kitchen has double ovens, a cooking island, pantry and dining bar. A second bedroom can be converted into an owner suite. The guard-gated country club is located near the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Priced from low $300,000s to more than $2 million. The one- and two-story designs offer as many as six bedrooms and four-car garages and range from 2,100 to 8,000 square feet. Central to the community will be a 44,000-square-foot main clubhouse, which will host a New Year's Eve celebration. A golf pro shop, locker rooms, banquet rooms, and formal and informal dining facilities will also be featured. A sports club offers exercise equipment, saunas, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, locker rooms and supervised children's play center. The community is also home to the first of two Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole golf courses. A practice facility has a double-ended driving range, putting green and chipping areas. Other amenities include an aquatic center and tennis facility. To visit, take Sahara Avenue west, past Town Center Drive and follow the signs. The model homes are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunrise Colony Co. is also developing the age-qualified Siena community in Summerlin.
