Del Webb opened its community center at The Club at Madeira Canyon. The 11,200-square-foot facility was unveiled Dec. 16 at a private resident reception. Residents have already started using the new fitness center and spa rooms.
"It is the new standard for recreation centers in Las Vegas," said Larry Mull, Del Webb general sales manager. "Our current and future residents are ecstatic about how it turned out."

The center is exclusive to residents and features a heated resort-style pool and spa, a fitness center, massage rooms, three tennis courts and a basketball court. Meeting rooms may be reserved by residents of the community for social events.
Located on the edge of Madeira Canyon, the building features custom wood trusses, natural stone flooring and a rock fireplace.
"The views of the Strip from the fitness center are breathtaking," Mull said. "The attention to detail on this building is unmatched among any community centers previously built in Southern Nevada."
