Pardee exec touts home sites, energy savings at Big Sky Ranches
Pardee Homes on Saturday released the third phase of its Big Sky Ranches neigh- borhood. "Buyers love the oversized home sites up here and our location in the southwest valley," company sales director Rob Tuvell said. "All the sites have approximately one-third acre, so there's plenty of room for our optional guest house. With approximately 500 square feet, these casitas can also be used for a home office, an exercise room or home theater." Starting in the mid-$200,000s, the floor plans range from about 2,600 to 3,800 square feet with three to seven bedrooms and 2 1/2 to four baths. The homes incorporate energy-efficient technology including low-emissivity windows, high-performance heating and cooling systems, tightly sealed air ducts, and other innovations, allowing them to exceed national energy efficiency standards by more than 30 percent, earning the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star seal. The Plan One, a single-story, 2,600-square-foot home, comes with a formal living and dining room, a family room, island kitchen, as many as four bedrooms, and 2 1/2 baths. It features a three-car garage with an option for a fourth bay. At 3,025 square feet, Plan Two is also a single-story home with a courtyard entrance, den, family room, four bedrooms, three baths, a three-car garage and an option for dual bedroom suites. Plan Three, a two-story home, measures from about 3,000 to 3,500 square feet and includes as many as six bedrooms, four baths and an expanded bonus room. Plan Four measures from 3,000 to 3,800 square feet with four bedrooms, a family room, bonus room, rounded entry with an alcove above, and as many as seven bedrooms and four baths. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Rainbow Boulevard, drive north to Patrick Lane and go west to Tenaya Way. The models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m. Pardee has built more than 21,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952. The company also developed one of the valley's first master-planned communities, Spring Valley, 25 years ago and is developing the Rancho Las Palmas community in the southeastern valley and Eldorado in North Las Vegas.
