Anthem Country Club community records milestone 1,000th home sale

David and Cynthia Webster recently bought the 1,000th home at Anthem Country Club in Henderson.

The Websters, who are relocating to Southern Nevada from Yuma, Ariz., to pursue business opportunities, chose a Toccata home.

"With the vibrant and expanding economy in Las Vegas it was advantageous to relocate to Anthem as soon as possible," said David Webster, the owner of a development company that specializes in building custom homes. His company previously bought custom-home sites in the Del Webb Corp. community.

The Websters were impressed by their home's design.

"The Toccata fit our lifestyle," Cynthia Webster said. "It has a large laundry room, which I really liked."

The home they chose was one of the 17 homes ready for immediate occupancy, which provide incentives if closed prior to Dec. 20.

"With the incentive we received, it made Anthem even more enticing," Cynthia Webster said. "We love it there. The way it's set up with the guard-gate, the clubhouse, pool and tennis courts -- it's all together."

With the purchase of a home or home site at the country club, homeowners receive a social membership. Members enjoy use of the members-only restaurants and an athletic club with a full-service salon, fitness equipment, a swimming pool, tennis courts, aerobics studio, basketball and volleyball courts, and tennis.

"It's like another world once you get inside," David Webster said. "Everything is all there."

The country club offers 20 floor plans, ranging from 1,275 to 5,797 square feet. Prices range from the $200,000s to more than $1 million.

The guard-gated community also features custom-home sites, which range in size and price.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue and proceed about three miles south of St. Rose Parkway. The sales center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
