Prize drawing highlights Venezia's debut



KB Home celebrates the grand opening of its Venezia neighborhood today with a drawing. Prizes include a one-night stay for two at a Strip resort, two stage show tickets, and a $150 gift certificate to a steak restaurant.

The homes, priced from the $130,000s, are ideal for first-time buyers, according to Leah Bryant, president of the builder's Las Vegas division.

"The Venezia series includes flexible floor plans with the same options found in expensive communities," Bryant said. "Home buyers can personalize these ... homes to fit their needs within their budgets."

There are seven two-story floor plans, ranging from 1,104 to 1,733 square feet, with three or four bedrooms, one to 2 1/2 baths, front porches (per plan), low-maintenance yards and one-car garages.

Venezia is located in the southwestern valley. To visit, take Interstate 215 to the Durango Drive exit and go south. Proceed to Arby Avenue and turn right, then go to Garden Pond and turn left.

The builder is also developing two Liberty neighborhoods, which offer eight single- and two-story floor plans. Homes range from 692 to 1,486 square feet with two to four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and one-car garages.

Liberty at The Orchards in the northeastern valley can be reached by taking U.S. Highway 95 to Charleston Boulevard, heading east to Tree Line Drive and turn south.

To visit Liberty at Silverado, a southeastern valley neighborhood, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue, head south and turn right on Silverado Ranch Boulevard. At Bermuda Road turn left, travel to Pyle Avenue and turn left. Proceed to Amigo Street and turn right.

KB Home is also developing The Villas at Tropicana, which is located in the southeastern valley. Seven two-story floor plans range from 1,104 to 1,733 square feet. They can be built with three or four bedrooms, one to 2 1/2 baths, and one-car garages. Each home includes the builder's 10-year limited warranty.

To visit, take Tropicana Avenue east past Boulder Highway to the sales office, which is on the right.

All sales offices are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Friday, when they open at 11 a.m.

The builder's design studio is located at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201, south of Warm Springs Road.
