Southern Terrace adds new neighborhood

A new neighborhood, Monterey, recently debuted at Perma-Bilt Homes' Southern Terrace community in the southwestern valley, according to company President Daniel Schwartz.

The new neighborhood offers three two-story floor plans priced from the low $300,000s. The homes feature courtyard entries and as many as six bedrooms.

The Hillcrest plan measures 2,860 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths, a split three-car garage, and an optional bonus room and office.

The Pineridge design measures 3,541 square feet with five bedrooms, four baths, a bonus room and split three-car garage. The home features a ground-floor owner suite, a great-room design, and options for an extra bedroom and bath.

Knollwood, a 3,464-square-foot floor plan, comes with five bedrooms, four baths, a split three-car garage, and a retreat off the owner suite or a sixth bedroom. The home also has a round dining room and an optional fireplace in the courtyard entry.

All homes carry the ComfortWise and Energy Star designations for reducing energy costs by at least 30 percent over a "standard" home.

"We've had a great start at Southern Terrace with nearly 100 sales since our opening in August and we are at a point where we are now accepting sales at Monterey, featuring the largest floor plans at the community," Schwartz said. "Already, buyer interest at Monterey is strong, particularly among families and move-up buyers."

The community features four neighborhoods: Autumn Hills, Somerset, Ridgemont and Monterey. A total of 15 floor plans are offered, ranging from 1,379 to 3,500 square feet, and are modeled in one location.

Prices start from the $150,000s to the low $300,000s.

Through Dec. 31, the builder is waiving nonrecurring closing costs on select homes. Buyers must close on the home by March 28, 2002, to qualify.

The builder announced that it will open its Southern Terrace Club, a recreational facility for residents and their guests, next month.

The club features a family swimming pool, adult swimming pool, playground, picnic and barbecue area, health club with a workout room, saunas, locker rooms, a massage facility, and a full-time activities director.

The builder is also developing a paved exercise trail with desert landscaping.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Russell Road and head west.

The sales center and models are are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.
