Local broker named to Real Estate Commission
-- Charlie Mack, owner-broker of Mack Realty, has been appointed by Gov. Kenny Guinn to serve a three-year term on the Nevada Real Estate Commission. Mack has been active in commercial real estate for 23 years and was twice president of the Southern Nevada Chapter of CCIM. -- Jack Woodcock, owner-broker of Prudential Americana Group, has been named 2002 regional vice president for the National Association of Realtors. He will serve as liaison between the association and Realtors in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. -- The Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge golf tournament, taped Nov. 6 at Lake Las Vegas Resort, will air on ABC Dec. 22 and 23. -- The Las Vegas City Council has reappointed Monica Caruso, public affairs director for the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, to the Community Development Recommending Board for 2002. The board reviews applications from nonprofit organizations for governmental grants and recommends funding to the City Council. -- E. John Sweetland III of Sweetland Industrial Realty represented both parties in Smoke Ranch Partnership's sale of 10,743 square feet at 4357 W. Sunset Road, Suite H, to Cabinet Factory of New York for $1.2 million. -- Kathy Buccieri Lofland of Heritage Realty Co. represented both parties in Donald A. Butz's sale of 1,200 square feet at 5822 Boulder Highway to Las Vegas Beer Garden for $250,000. Lofland again represented Las Vegas Beer Garden in its purchase of 19,603 square feet at 5822 Boulder Highway from Peterson Family Trust, represented by Bill Lejere of Bill Hammonds and Associates, for $444,740. Lofland also represented John Crofts in his purchase of 26,136 square feet at 650 S. Main St. from Jack E. Galardi, represented by Marshall Davis of Nevada First Business Brokers, for $895,000. Lofland also represented both parties in J.R.W.'s sale of 4,000 square feet at 3200 Sirius Ave. to B.A.B. for $550,000. -- Lee and Associates' Charles Witters and David Flynn represented Countrywide Home Loans in its 60-month lease of 6,000 square feet at 10190 Covington Drive from The Howard Hughes Corp., represented by Suzette LaGrange of CB Richard Ellis, for $756,840. Witters and Flynn represented Henderson Beltway in its 60-month lease of 33,764 square feet at 160 Stephanie St., in Henderson to General Services Administration for $2.7 million.
