Siena's Portofino paired homes popular
Sunrise Colony Co.'s Portofino Collection of paired homes at Siena has proved popular among buyers at the age-qualified community in Summerlin, according to Jimmy Jones, vice president of sales. "The Portofino Collection offers buyers the opportunity to live in our community and enjoy all of the amenities, but in a home that is slightly smaller and perhaps more convenient for single residents, part-time residents and out-of-town owners," he said. Since its introduction, more than 100 homes from the collection have been sold. Because of their popularity, a portion of the community's available home sites, including several adjacent to the golf course, are being remapped to accommodate more of the collection's designs. "We are very excited about the prospect of offering floor plans from the Portofino Collection on some of our prime golf course home sites. The combination of great floor plans on great home sites is sure to be a home run," Jones said. The collection features four floor plans, priced from $148,000 to $176,500. Plan 4110 measures 1,040 square feet and includes one bedroom, 1 1/2 baths, and a den that can be converted into an optional second bedroom. The one-half bath can be enlarged to include a shower. Plan 4120 includes one bedroom and two baths in 1,180 square feet. The standard den can be converted into a closed den or a second bedroom. At 1,288 square feet, Plan 4130 offers one bedroom and two baths with the same customizing options as Plan 4120. The largest design, Plan 4140, measures 1,378 square feet with two bedrooms, two baths and a den. Options include enclosing the den and expanding the closet in the second bedroom. Each design features an 8-foot entry door, rear yard with a covered patio, two-car finished garage, walk-in closet in the master bedroom, dual vanities and walk-in shower in the master bath, and built-in appliances in the kitchen. The 665-acre guard-gated community features six home collections priced from the $140,000s to the $380,000s, plus home-site premiums. The 18 single-story floor plans measure from 1,040 to 3,100 square feet. Construction is under way on a 39,000-square-foot community center with a ballroom, business center, arts and crafts, and card and game rooms. Until its expected opening in the spring, events are held in an interim facility. Additional amenities include an 18-hole golf course, golf clubhouse, and health and fitness center with indoor and outdoor swimming pools. To visit, take Sahara Avenue or Interstate 215 to Town Center Drive and go south to Siena Monte Avenue. Model homes are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
