Rhodes sponsors several Eagle Scouts
Nellis Air Force Base recently hosted Eagle Scout Recognition Day in honor of Boy Scouts who have attained this designation. Guests were treated to a high-in-the-sky show by the Thunderbirds, a tour of the Air Force Museum at Nellis, and a luncheon in the Officer's Club. Jim Rhodes, owner of Rhodes Design and Development, sponsored several Eagle Scouts. Becoming an Eagle Scout requires training and dedication in survival tasks, environmental awareness and community involvement. At some point in the Eagle Scout's journey, financial support is needed to complete the outdoor and civic activities necessary to earn the myriad badges required for this honor. "We (at Rhodes Homes) have an obligation primarily to our homeowners, but as a native Nevadan, anything we can do to improve the quality of life for kids in Nevada is my concern," Rhodes said. "These Eagle Scouts are Nevada's future soldiers and leaders. I'm glad to help. "Becoming an Eagle Scout is about the hardest things these kids have ever done in their life. They deserve praise and support from all of us."
