Family finds perfect timing with U.S. Home purchase
Kristina and Dan Green recently moved into their new home at U.S. Home's Copperfield neighborhood, so it was not unusual for them to receive housewarming gifts from their friends and family. But for the Greens, along with the excitement of unpacking and settling into their home, came the news that Kristina is pregnant. "This is definitely the most wonderful housewarming gift imaginable," Kristina Green said. "The timing is perfect. We now have our new home and plenty of space -- it couldn't have worked out better if we had planned this all along." The Greens were not looking for a new home when they discovered the Pacific Heights model at the northwestern valley neighborhood. The home offers as many as five bedrooms and covered patios, and is priced from $215,950. "We were just driving around. We had no thought of buying a new home," Kristina Green said. "We fell in love (with the home). That was it. Dan looked at me and said, `We gotta get this house,' and here we are." The Greens were impressed by their 3,077-square-foot home's open design, two-sided staircase and home site, which measures one-third acre. The two-story home features a portico entry, study loft, and bonus room, which can accommodate a home theater or playroom. They opted for a first-floor bonus room with a two-car garage instead of the standard three-car garage. The home also features a ceramic-tile entry, formal living and dining rooms, family room with fireplace and media niche, dining nook, and kitchen with a pantry and an optional island. Its owner suite has a walk-in closet, separate tub and shower, and dual sinks. Priced from $184,990, the neighborhood offers nine single- and two-story floor plans, ranging from 2,167 to more than 4,500 square feet. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, go east to Jones Boulevard, then turn north to Azure Drive. The model homes are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.
