KB Home to open models
Home shoppers can choose from 17 floor plans priced from the $120,000s at Iron Mountain Ranch, a KB Home community in the northwestern valley where 11 model homes are scheduled to open in January 2002. Eventually, the community will be home to more than 1,600 families and will be comprised of three series of homes -- Prairie, Frontier and Sierra -- in 11 villages. The Prairie collection, priced from the $120,000s, features six floor plans. The one- and two-story homes range from 1,245 to 2,523 square feet. The Frontier series offers homes priced from the $140,000s. Measuring from 1,647 to 2,769 square feet, it features four floor plans with two to five bedrooms. The Sierra collection features seven floor plans, ranging from 2,899 to 3,633 square feet. Prices start in the $190,000s. "It (Iron Mountain Ranch) has a rural feel, yet it's very accessible and convenient," sales agent Carey Bender said. "It's a very attractive community ..." Bender said buyers are drawn to the community's location near the Centennial Parkway extension and to its proximity to Mount Charleston. The community also offers neighborhood parks and an equestrian trail, although its homes are not zoned for horses. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, head east to Jones Boulevard, then go north about four miles, past Farm Road. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. KB Home is currently selling homes in 29 neighborhoods in Southern Nevada. It also operates in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and France.
