Construction industry salary survey completed

-- The 2001-2002 Contractors and Builders Salary Survey has been completed. Compiled last April by Contractors and Builders Personnel, the annual survey contains information from 60 companies representing 492 salaries, and salaries for 20 positions ranging from director of construction to laborer. -- Phil Ralston, chief financial officer and treasurer for American Nevada Corp., participated in the inaugural "CEO/Principal for a Day" program sponsored by the Clark County School District and area Chambers of Commerce. The program pairs business leaders with school principals, each shadowing the other for a day at their respective work locations.

-- Gundaker Wardley GMAC Real Estate has changed its name to Coldwell Banker Wardley.

-- The GVA Industrial Property Group's Art Farmanali represented Titan Stairs in its five-year lease of 24,774 square feet at 5325 S. Valley View Blvd. from Boreta Family Trust for $741,835.

-- Lee and Associates' David Flynn and Charles W. Witters represented NWC Eastern & Wigwam in its 60-month lease of 3,645 square feet at 8475 S. Eastern Ave. to Design Center West, represented by Kevin Smith of Century 21, for $461,000. David Knapper and David Howes represented Cory Trust in its 60-month lease of 5,395 square feet at 3395 Pinks Place to EOB, represented by Scott Rikand and Mark Nuesome of Rossum Realty, for $194,000. Scott Owens and Mel Koich represented both parties in Las Vegas Industrial Park's 60-month lease of 2,533 square feet at 7005 Speedway Blvd., Suite F-104, to Dark Horse Racing Safety Equipment for $65,200. Owens and Koich again represented the Las Vegas Industrial Park in its 60-month lease of 17,008 square feet at 6775 Speedway Blvd., Suite M-102, to Best Lighting Products, represented by Chat Wynne of Prudential Americana Group, for $344,193.

-- CB Richard Ellis' Melanie Braud represented Carson Street Investments in two separate three-year lease transactions at 302 E. Carson Ave.: 1,408 square feet to International Settlement Corp. for $71,500, and 940 square feet to Christopher G. Gellner for $51,300. In another transaction, Spencer Ballif and Jeff Swinger represented Claremont Avion in its sale of the 352-unit Avion Apartments at 6901 E. Lake Mead Blvd. to Avion at Sunrise Mountain for $23.2 million. Timothy Carrigan represented Danka Holding Co. in its sale of a 10,100-square-foot industrial building at 6455 S. Industrial Road to RMS Properties for $690,000. Darren Lemmon represented WXI-MCN Commercial Real Estate in its five-year lease of 3,760 square feet at 1771 E. Flamingo Road to Benefit Design Services for $385,000. Lemmon also represented UUNET Technologies (WorldCom) in its three-year lease of 1,932 square feet at 6893 W. Charleston Blvd. to Blood Systems for $127,000. Jeremy Green and Donna Alderson represented Jackson Shaw/Warm Springs III in its five-year lease of 12,155 square feet at 7540 S. Industrial Road to Rental Systems for $610,000. Paul Hoyt represented International Polishing Co. in its five-year lease of 4,830 square feet at 4216 N. Pecos Road from Craig-Pecos Limited Partnership for $162,000. Hoyt also represented MST Trucking in its five-year lease of 6,230 square feet at 5550 Cameron St. from RMS Limited Partnership for $250,000. Hoyt also represented Mericom Corp. in its three-year lease of 2,770 square feet at 6820 S. Valley View Blvd. from York Nevada for $105,000.

-- Charles Van Geel of American Nevada Corp. represented the corporation and was assisted by Darren Lemmon of CB Richard Ellis in American Nevada's 63-month lease of 4,977 square feet at 2260 Corporate Circle, in Green Valley Corporate Center in Henderson, to Convexx, represented by Chuck Haldeman of NAI Americana Commercial, for $421,769. In another transaction, Mike Dunn and Charles Van Geel represented American Nevada in its 72-month lease of 20,889 square feet at 2340 Corporate Circle to Brown & Brown Insurance, represented by Lucinda Stanley and Jay Hoselton of Coldwell Banker, for $2.6 million. In yet another transaction, Brad Peterson and Suzette LaGrange of CB Richard Ellis assisted American Nevada's Richard Green in the corporation's seven-year lease of 1,897 square feet at 4300 E. Sunset Road, in Green Valley Town Center, to Image Dental, represented by Sherri Patton of One Cap, for $348,900.
