Fact-finding visit leads to purchase at MonumentSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
After only one visit to Stanpark Homes' Monument at Lone Mountain, Barbara Fairbanks knew she had found her new home. However, that is not the reason she visited the community in northwest Las Vegas. "My husband is in the building industry and works for a custom-home developer, so we have always built our own homes," Fairbanks said. "I was shopping for floor plan ideas, but when I visited Monument, I fell in love with the floor plan, community and location. "I called (my husband) Kirt from the mortgage office that day, and we decided to buy one of the inventory homes. We are so excited that it's 30 days later and we're already in our new home." The couple chose the Aria plan, which can be built with as many as four bedrooms plus a den and 3 1/2 baths. It measures 2,207 square feet and is priced from $191,990. "The home had all of the elements we wanted, especially with the four car-garage, and was very similar to the floor plan we designed. With Kirt building multimillion-dollar custom homes, he inspected our home with a fine-toothed comb during the walk-through and was amazed with the quality." Monument is comprised of two neighborhoods, and eight new single- and two-story floor plans. Homes at The Summit neighborhood range from 1,379 to 2,461 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and a three-car garage. Prices start from the $140,000s. At Crescendo, where the Fairbanks' family home is located, floor plans measure from 1,949 to 3,634 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms and a four-car garage. Prices start from the $170,000s. Select homes can be ready for move-in within 30 days and offer special incentives, according to the builder. A no-cost program is available to assist buyers of a new Stanpark home in selling their current residence. Also available is a 1 percent discount on closing costs when the purchase is financed is through an approved lender. Each home comes with a 10-year homeowner protection plan. Monument's amenities are planned to include a gated entry, 5-acre park, walking trails, barbecues, benches and a gazebo. To tour the model homes, take U.S. Highway 95 to Cheyenne Avenue, head west to the end of the road, then go north following the signs. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stanpark also has single- and two-story homes available at Tempo, a gated neighborhood in North Las Vegas. Four floor plans range from 1,246 to 2,165 square feet and are priced from the low $100,000s. To visit Tempo, take Cheyenne to Revere Street, which is east of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Single- and two-story homes are also featured at Teton, a neighborhood in Henderson. Four floor plans measure from 1,802 to 3,115 square feet and are priced from the $170,000s. A three-car garage is standard. To visit Teton, take Lake Mead Drive to Gibson Road and head south.
