Vintage Desert Rose postpones open house
Vintage Desert Rose, an apartment community for seniors, has postponed this week's scheduled open house, and instead will hold the event on Wednesday, Dec. 12. The facility is located at 1701 N. Jones Blvd. in northwest Las Vegas. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., current and potential tenants can meet with the property owner and management. There will be entertainment, free refreshments and apartments open for viewing. There are income and rent guidelines that have been set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. To qualify, one member of the household must be at least 55 years old. The maximum monthly income limit is $1,910 for one person, and $2,180 for two people. Monthly rent ranges from $446 for a one-bedroom, one-bath unit measuring 520 square feet to $662 for a 700-square-foot two-bedroom unit, depending upon location. Each unit has an alarm system and a balcony or patio. The gated complex features gardens, fountains and courtyard areas and its clubhouse offers a community room, laundry facility and pool area. The builder is USA Properties Fund of Roseville, Calif., which has built more than 30 similar communities in California and in Reno. Vintage Desert Rose is the company's first such project in Las Vegas, and is co-owned by Columbia Housing of Portland, Ore., and USA Management Co. Inc. of Roseville, Calif.
