Courts at Aliante lifestyle lures buyer
Angela Anderson toured many new neighborhoods before finding the right home and lifestyle at the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. "My Realtor and I looked at new and resale homes for about two months. We toured some very nice homes and neighborhoods, but nothing matched what we saw when we drove into Aliante. You can see that this is a community designed with families in mind -- a place where parks, schools, shopping and other conveniences are all included in the plan," Anderson said. "This will be my first home in a master-planned community and I like the benefits associated with master-planned living. It's comforting to know what will be built around you in the future and to know that the landscaping and maintenance of the open space areas will be taken care of." Anderson chose an attached home in D.R. Horton's Courts neighborhood. "The Courts at Aliante was a perfect choice for me because it is a gated neighborhood, the floor plans feel spacious, each home has a backyard area, and there is very little maintenance," she said. "I was also impressed by how much home you can get for your money here, especially when you consider the quality of the Aliante community. Based on the comparisons that I made, I felt it was an excellent value." The community is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. Encompassing 1,905 acres, the community will be home to about 20,000 residents. In its primary village, D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes are constructing homes that measure from 1,141 to 3,990 square feet and are priced from the $120,000s to the $370,000s. An age-qualified village is being constructed by Del Webb. Sun City Aliante offers single-story designs that range from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet and are priced from the $160,000s to the $250,000s. Nearly 430 acres is designated for recreational and public purposes including an 18-hole, par-72 municipal golf course; more than 24 miles of concrete trails and linear parks; and an arroyo. Sites have been set aside for two elementary schools, a middle school and fire station. About 100 acres have been allocated for commercial development, including a planned 40-acre resort with gaming. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go south to the information gallery or north to Sun City. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
