Anthem buyers get early start
Orange County, Calif., natives Anthony and Joelle Mason are delighted with their purchase at Anthem Country Club, a golf course community in Henderson where only a few new homes remain for sale. The Masons, both account executives for a mortgage-banking firm, purchased a Shelton model. The floor plan features a den, two baths, two-car garage and detached casita with a bath. "It was the first model we looked at," Anthony Mason said. "We stayed there for two hours, and never even looked at the other 11 models, we are so happy with our choice. It's perfect." Their home is under construction, but they were so eager to move into the community that they decided to rent a home until theirs is complete. "Fortunately, we stumbled upon Anthem Country Club while looking for a home in Las Vegas," Joelle Mason said. "Once we saw this community, we knew this was the place to call home." Anthony Mason had the same reaction. "We were pretty much sold when we first drove into Anthem," he said. "The waterfall entry is impressive. The guard-gated entry of Anthem Country Club is also beautiful. We are not just buying a home, we're buying a lifestyle." The amenities were another attraction. Joelle Mason said she enjoys having most of her needs met within the community. "Once you are inside the gates, you don't have to leave because nearly everything you need is right here," she said. "We work out in the gym every morning, walk a three-mile loop, visit with neighbors, eat at the club restaurant, swim and go to the hair salon. We have used every single thing here, and we never even have to drive a car, we just use the golf cart to go everywhere. This is just the best community ever." Amenities include a 3,700-square-foot athletic club with three swimming pools; cardiovascular equipment; aerobics classes; and basketball, volleyball and tennis facilities. Equity memberships for the par-72 championship course are available to homeowners. Because the Masons work from a home office, they use the clubhouse to entertain clients. "We use the club a lot," Joelle Mason said. "It's great for social gatherings and networking. We love it here." Homes are priced from the high $300,000s to high $400,000s. Models are available for move-in over the next 30 to 90 days are priced from the $400,000s to more than $1 million. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, about two miles past St. Rose Parkway, turn left on Anthem Parkway and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
