KB Home hosts celebration at Tierra Linda

KB Home is hosting grand opening festivities this weekend at Tierra Linda, the builder's newest neighborhood in the southeastern valley.

There will be hot dogs and apple pie, as well as a visit from several members of the Las Vegas 51s baseball team. Cosmo, the team mascot, is also scheduled to appear. In addition, there will be a live radio remote and a prize drawing for a big screen TV.

The neighborhood is comprised of two series of homes -- Hacienda and Pueblo. Fifteen floor plans are available and five of the eight Hacienda plans are modeled. The models for Pueblo are under construction, and are expected to open soon. Prices start from the $140,000s.

Homes in the Hacienda series measure from 1,384 to 2,784 square feet with two to four bedrooms, two or 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages.

The Pueblo series is available in seven designs, ranging from 1,098 to 2,312 square feet with two to four bedrooms, two or three baths and two-car garages.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road, go east to Las Vegas Boulevard and head south. Drive about 4 1/2 miles to Barbara Street, turn left, proceed to Haven Street and turn right. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Friday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

Through the builder's Back to School promotion, home buyers who tour select models can receive Clifford the Big Red Dog books and videos. In addition to the Tierra Linda neighborhood, the promotion is available at Iron Mountain Ranch, Lone Mountain Heights and Ridge, Lone Mountain Classics, Goldrush and Liberty at the Orchards.
