Christopher attracts repeat buyers

History has repeated itself for Joe and Linda Stewart, who recently purchased the last home in Christopher Homes' San Michelle neighborhood at the Queensridge community. A decade earlier, they purchased the last home in the builder's Canyon Ranch Estates neighborhood.

"I guess you could call it kismet. In both cases, it was the right opportunity, in the right time and place," Joe Stewart said.

About four months ago, the Stewarts attended an open house at San Michelle.

"We were familiar with San Michelle and surprised to hear that there was still a home available there," Stewart said. "We were also familiar with the design of the available home and liked it very much. However, getting to the open house that weekend didn't look too promising, as we had made other plans including entertaining relatives who were coming to see us from back East.

"As fate would have it though, bad weather caused our visitors' flight to be cancelled and we now had Saturday open. Once again, we walked through the home, fell in love with it and purchased it the next day."

The 3,912-square-foot, single-story home has a casita and overlooks a golf course.

"We love the spaciousness of this home and the privacy it affords for the entire family," Linda Stewart said. "Our home has a magnificent courtyard with a fireplace, which is a perfect space for entertaining or just relaxing as a family."

The builder offers luxury and custom-home neighborhoods throughout the valley.

More than 20 designs measuring from 1,983 to 6,200 square feet are offered at The Christopher Collection and The Villas at Southern Highlands Golf Club in the southwestern valley. Homes are priced from $351,900 to more than $1 million.

The community also is home to The Enclave, offering custom homes ranging from 5,000 to more than 10,000 square feet. Prices, including the home site, are expected to range from about $1.5 million to more than $8 million.

To visit, take Interstate 15 south to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit, head west and follow the signs.

Custom homes also are available in the Bellacere neighborhood within Summerlin.

To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive, head south to Alta Drive, then go east. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Monday and by appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday.
