Astoria readies The Hills for debut

Astoria Homes is making final preparations to unveil its newest development, The Hills, in Henderson.

The sales office is expected to open Sept. 6, while models are set to debut Sept. 20.

The neighborhood will offer single- and two-story residences measuring from 1,888 to 3,045 square feet. The homes will feature as many as seven bedrooms and three baths, as well as two- or three-car garages and bonus rooms. They will be priced from the mid-$200,000s.

As with its other developments, the homes will offer energy-efficient features such as tightly sealed air ducts and spectrally selective windows that reduce the sun's ultraviolet rays.

The builder has been recognized for constructing Energy Star homes, certifying residences are at least 30 percent more energy efficient than homes built to standard code.

"As with our other communities throughout the Las Vegas Valley, we work hard to create beautiful and comfortable homes. This means developing quality products, as well as instituting efforts for the convenience of the homeowners," marketing executive Sia Howe said.

In addition, the builder offers Ironwood Estates and Centennial Village in the northwestern valley; Canyon Trails, Independence, The Courtyards at The Peaks and The Verandas at The Peaks in the southwest area; and Silverado Place in the southeast. Prices start from the low $100,000s to the $300,000s.
