Sales pace up for Turnberry Place
Luxury condominium-home sales for the first tower at Turnberry Place have surpassed $113 million in nine months, according to John Riordan, vice president of sales.
"Our sales pace is 10 to 12 months ahead of our initial schedule," Riordan said. "This really illustrates the popularity of Las Vegas as an upscale, quality resort destination and the demand for the lifestyle that ... Turnberry Place offers."
Construction of the first of four planned 38-story towers is scheduled for completion in late 2000. Sales for the second tower are expected to start in October.
Ten floor plans are available, ranging from 1,550 to 11,000 square feet, with two to four bedrooms.
"We offer a model presentation that is entertaining and memorable," Riordan said. "Our presentation features a video host who appears on large monitor screens. As he leads the tour, a spa turns on automatically, the fireplace lights up and the view outside changes from sunrise to sunset."
The model showcases a 2,825-square-foot home's kitchen appliances and walnut cabinets; and the owner bath with marble flooring, vanities, spa tubs and marble-walled showers. Other features include 9- and 10-foot ceilings, separate elevator foyers and various views.
Homes are priced from $400,000 to more than $5 million.
Community amenities will include a 60,000-square-foot private club including a 30,000-square-foot spa with wet and dry massage salons, a fitness center, a lounge with a piano bar, casual and formal dining, a billiard room, card rooms, tennis courts, a business center, library, beauty salon, spas, saunas and steam baths. There will also be indoor and outdoor pools with cabanas, a pool bar and a convenience store.
Other features will include security, valet service, room and concierge service, a gated entry, porter and limousine service, and two levels of underground parking.
Turnberry Associates is developing the property on a 15-acre site off of Paradise Road, north of Desert Inn Road.
Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
