Pulte proud of partnership with SummerlinSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
The partnership between the nation's largest home builder and the nation's best-selling master-planned community has benefitted from the similar philosophies of the two companies, according Steve Petruska, the top local executive for Pulte Homes, praising his company's relationship with Summerlin developer The Howard Hughes Corp. "We believe in providing exceptional service and building quality homes in tremendous master-planned communities and that's why we continue to develop new neighborhoods in Summerlin," Petruska said. "Summerlin delivers an incomparable lifestyle and quality of life for its residents with the master plan design and amenities as Pulte Homes does with our homes, neighborhoods and service." The master-planned community is located along the western edge of Las Vegas, adjacent to the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. It features well-manicured streets, parks, neighborhoods and villages, as well as trails, golf courses, cultural centers, shopping centers and medical centers. Both companies market toward residents of all ages and income levels by offering a variety of floor plans and neighborhoods. Summerlin is designed as a series of villages, each with a distinctive style and centered around a major park or golf course. There are 15 villages in various stages of development and Pulte has neighborhoods in many of them, including active ones in The Gardens, Ridgebrook, Vistas Villages and Summerlin Centre. "The Howard Hughes Corp. highly values our relationship with Pulte Homes and their major presence within the Summerlin community. They have an excellent record for delivery of well-designed and well-constructed homes," Hughes Corp. executive W. Stewart Gibbons said. Pulte recently announced the debut of its Parkside development in Summerlin Centre, a mixed-use village. The townhome development offers four floor plans priced from the $180,000s. Summerlin Centre is designed as a pedestrian-friendly urban center. It will be comprised of various districts including residential, retail, commercial, entertainment, recreational, cultural and resort components within about 1,200 acres built around a central park area. "Summerlin Centre will be a place where you can live above the coffee shop, walk to work, shop, meet friends for dinner, and play in the park, all without having to get in your car," Gibbons said. Parkside will host its grand opening next Sunday, offering refreshments and the chance to win prizes. "Parkside is an intimate townhome community offering the convenience of low-maintenance living in a gated neighborhood. Residents will enjoy the community pool and exercise facility, as well as the front-yard landscaping maintenance that is included," Petruska said. The four floor plans range from 1,361 to 1,924 square feet, each offering two or three bedrooms, two baths, a great room, and a two-car garage. Some models offer an optional den, loft, second bedroom suite, retreat off the main bedroom, or an interior courtyard. One offers a rotunda entry. Homes also offer courtyards and a choice of 16 exterior styles. Among the standard features are Environments for Living -- Platinum Series energy-saving amenities, upgraded plumbing fixtures, structured wiring, prewiring for security systems, solid-surface counter tops, microwaves and soft water loops. The home builder plans to open three neighborhoods, Bella Vista, Echo Ridge and Sunset Ridge, in September and October.
