Home sales add up at Red Rock Country Club

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Red Rock Country Club is rapidly taking shape on a 738-acre site in Summerlin that overlooks the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. From last April through mid-August, nearly 80 new homes were sold at the community, according to Kevin Stall, vice president of sales.

"With the wonderful pace Red Rock Country Club is maturing at, home buyers can see the value of what we have to offer and they are proud to call this great community home," Stall said.

Among the many community amenities are a sports club, an aquatic center and tennis complex. In addition, there is an 18-hole championship golf course complemented by a practice facility with a double-ended driving range, putting green and chipping areas. The guard-gated community's central amenity is its clubhouse.

The country club will feature 1,116 homes at buildout. Buyers can choose from single- and two-story designs, ranging from 2,300 to 5,300 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and a four-car garage. Homes are priced from the $350,000s to more than $2 million.

Custom-home sites are available in The Estates, a gated neighborhood of 86 lots. They measure from 15,000 to 20,000 square feet and are priced from $315,000 to $500,000.

A limited number of homes are ready for immediate occupancy, both on and off the golf course, according to Stall.

"Earlier this year we introduced a redesign of one of our Acacia models, and we recently unveiled our new Hawthorne Collection, both which have generated a lot of excitement and are contributing to our sales success," Stall said.

The Acacia 1100 is a single-story home with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 2,324 square feet. Inside is a great room with fireplace, media niche and wet bar. The home also contains an island kitchen, laundry room, and a master bedroom with optional fireplace. Outside, the home offers a courtyard entry, two-car garage and golf-cart garage.

Two floor plans comprise the Hawthorne Collection, which is designed with "the family in mind," according to Stall, adding that a golf cart is included with the purchase of either plan.

The homes measure 3,122 and 4,081 square feet and offer as many as five bedrooms and five baths. Model homes are under construction.

"The largest comes standard with four bedrooms, four baths and a powder room, an entry courtyard, a three-car garage and an incredible great room," Stall said. "There is also an option for a fifth bedroom with its own bath. Other options will include expanding the master bedroom closet, adding a library, sitting room, an optional reading alcove, or a media room. And that's just the start. The flexibility with this floor plan is tremendous."

Two floor plans have proved especially popular with buyers, according to Stall.

The first is the Acacia 1102, a single-story design measuring 2,503 square feet with three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths.

"With a base price of $338,000 to $351,300, the Acacia 1102 plan is very affordable for all it has to offer," he said. "We have found buyers for this plan include families, young couples and retirees who enjoy the variety of customizing options they have to choose from, including modifying the third-car garage into a sitting room."

Also a favorite among buyers is the Ocotillo 3103 plan, a single-story home with four bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths in 3,802 square feet. It is base priced from $499,900 to $526,600.

"The major appeal of the Ocotillo 3103 plan, which is popular with retirees and buyers who are in need of a home office, is the openness of the floor plan," Stall said. "The fourth bedroom and the optional `super den' are also strong selling points."

Customizing options include casitas, courtyards with fireplaces, sit-down wet bars, and master bedroom retreats with media niches and fireplaces. Interior designers are available to assist buyers.

In addition, Red Rock Country Club's Sunsation program allows for a variety of options, including structural changes and room configurations or additions, custom swimming pools, as well as upgraded landscaping, patio and lighting designs.

To visit, take Sahara Avenue west, past Town Center Drive, and follow the signs. The sales office and models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunrise Colony Co. is also developing Siena, an age-qualified community in Summerlin.
