Toll Bros. touts courtyards

Toll Bros. is touting courtyards by highlighting several model homes at its neighborhoods in the valley.

"A courtyard entry adds a dimension of luxury to a home," vice president Gary Mayo said. "It provides a buffer between the outside world and the interior of a house that makes a person feel almost transported."

A covered porch offers access to the courtyard of the Westover floor plan at Terra Bella in northwest Las Vegas.

The Cellini floor plan at Barrington in Summerlin features windows and double doors in the living room overlooking an entry courtyard.

An outdoor fireplace, water features and potted plants accent the courtyard of the Milano model at the Toscana neighborhood in the northwestern valley.

"When it comes time to decorate a courtyard, the homeowner should think about what they want their visitor's first impression to be of the home," Mayo said. "We've seen some of our courtyards feature anything from modernistic sculptures in an outdoor art gallery to timeless rose bushes in a quaint flower garden. The options are limitless, but the final result will speak volumes about the home and its owners."

The company has been building homes for more than 35 years and currently offers more than 175 subdivisions in 21 states.
