Seven showcase homes await buyers at MacDonald HighlandsSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Longtime developer Rich MacDonald reports that MacDonald Highlands is rapidly becoming a "mountain of luxury" as upscale homes take their place within the hillside community in Henderson. "It is remarkable how MacDonald Highlands continues to evolve into one of Southern Nevada's premier luxury housing communities," MacDonald said. "Since the Street of Dreams show, the number of buyers coming to our community seeking luxury homes has increased dramatically." Seven custom homes are available, two of which were featured at Street of Dreams. Dragon's Oasis, a three-story home that measures 8,251 square feet, is available for $3.75 million. Earth, Wind & Fire, a two-story home that measures 5,408 square feet, is priced at $1.995 million. Three of the available homes overlook the sixth green of the community's DragonRidge Country Club. Each of these homes -- L'ambiance, Grandézza and Bella Vista -- was built by DragonRidge Custom Homes. At 5,174 square feet, L'ambiance is a two-story home highlighted by stone flooring, a downstairs master suite, and a gated courtyard with a fireplace. Grandézza measures 5,514 square feet and features a porte cochere entry and a grand staircase. Bella Vista, a 5,639-square-foot home, includes a living room, dining room and bar areas with views of the back yard, as well as of the golf course. Each of these three homes also feature exterior stone accents, a swimming pool, spa and mature landscaping. They range in price from $1.82 million to $1.99 million. Two of the available seven homes are on hillside lots. Serenity Point is built on .83 acres and provides a city view. At 6,560 square feet, the home includes picture windows; stone flooring; and a tiered back yard with a rockery pool, patio, waterfalls and built-in barbecue. It is available for $2.3 million. Desert Embrace, a two-story home, measures 5,274 square feet. The main level features the master suite and a sunken great room framed by columns. A second great room, on the lower walkout level, complements the media room with built-in cabinetry. This home is priced at $1.4 million. All of the homes are available through MacDonald Highlands Realty. The community's master plan includes 17 neighborhoods on 1,200 acres. Eight custom-home neighborhoods are under development, with home sites providing city, mountain and golf course views. The lots in these neighborhoods are priced from $179,000 to more than $3 million. Also planned are three community parks. Among them will be tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; playgrounds; and picnic facilities. Construction is expected to start next month on the DragonRidge clubhouse, which is planned to include a pro shop, an exercise facility, a swimming pool, and casual and fine dining. Meantime, a temporary clubhouse is open and tee times are available. The information office is located at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive, then go south to Horizon Ridge. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
