Concrete poured for base of third Turnberry tower

More than 500 workers and 150 trucks poured 8,200 cubic yards of concrete to lay the foundation for the third tower at Turnberry Place.

The $650 million development near the Strip will have four 40-story towers when complete. Each residence features Italian marble whirlpool baths, granite-topped kitchen cabinetry, upgraded appliances and wraparound glass balconies.

Residents will become instant members of the The Stirling Club, the $40 million facility in the center of the community featuring casual and formal dining, a 30,000-square-foot European, anti-aging Vinotherapie spa with a virtual reality system, beauty salon, spas, saunas and steam baths, lap pool, plunge pools and a fitness center.

Members will also enjoy a lounge with piano bar, a discotheque, a billiards room, wine and cigar rooms, concierge service, lighted clay tennis courts, a business center and a library.

There will also be an outdoor mosaic pool with private butler cabanas, a pool bar and a gourmet food boutique for guests and members.

Ten floor plans ranging from 1,550 to 8,000 square feet are available. Residences are priced from $500,000 to more than $5.25 million. A 2,825-square-foot model residence that simulates the view from the 27th floor of the first and second towers is open for viewing.

The office, located at 2777 Paradise Road north of Desert Inn Road, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
