Outdoor options: Entertaining venues

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Home shoppers who enjoy entertaining outdoors no matter the season may want to consider neighborhoods under development by Toll Bros. Gary Mayo, vice president, said the builder can create the ideal courtyard or back yard for its homeowners.

"Courtyard parties are the modern day version of a garden party," he said. "The simple elegance of the space means your event can take on any theme while your guests enjoy the outdoors, whether you host an afternoon tea or a wine tasting."

The courtyards can be customized to accommodate casual and formal events, and can include fireplaces, seating areas and water features.

Mayo pointed out that the builder's backyard options are equally versatile.

"You're only limited by your imagination when it comes to creating a back yard for your family. If your kids enjoy baseball, try adding a small scale batting cage. If you love the look of Greco-Roman art, incorporate columns and sculptures into your design," he said, noting that evening events provide additional options.

"An infinity pool is majestic at night, surrounded by candles under the stars. And having an outdoor kitchen and bar provides a great way to serve guests without having to spend half of your time inside."

Samples of courtyard and backyard options can be viewed at the builder's new neighborhoods from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Terra Bella is open for sales in the northwestern valley at Severence Lane and Grand Canyon Drive.

To visit Toll Brothers at MacDonald Highlands in Henderson, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive, turn south and proceed to Horizon Ridge Parkway.

In Summerlin, the builder offers Toll Brothers at Red Rock Country Club. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Sahara Avenue and go west, following the signs.

Toll Bros. has been in business for 37 years and is developing 205 neighborhoods in 21 states.
