Commute draws buyer to Vistana
Kristen Williamson was commuting to work when she first discovered Vistana at Rhodes Ranch, a condominium complex located in the Rhodes Ranch community in the southwestern valley. Intrigued by the offer of a tropical resort lifestyle, she visited the complex and was amazed by its landscaping. "Everything at Vistana is so green and lush, just like an island resort at St. Maarten," Williamson, a native of Fairfax, Va., said. "The waterfall really adds a Caribbean feel to Vistana." The amenities that come with a home purchase were also to her liking. "I can't believe home buyers get access to pools, tennis courts, a two-story gym and even a sauna," she said. "I would be able to cancel my gym membership and be able to enjoy the money saving amenities from the day I move in." The one-bedroom, one-bath Lisbon model, which measures 796 square feet and comes with a fireplace, caught Williamson's eye. "I like the fact that it has two levels," she said. "The direct access garage is conveniently located right below the house. I have lived in Las Vegas for two years and learned what the elements can do to a car. I love the idea of having an easy access garage included right underneath the home." In addition to the landscaping, plans for the community include three pools, a two-story fitness center and a spa. Each home features an appliance package and window coverings. Nine floor plans range from 670 to 1,413 square feet. Three of the models offer one bedroom and one bath; five offer two bedrooms and two baths; and the largest design, the Venice, features three bedrooms and two baths. Prices start from the low $70,000s to the $120,000s. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Durango Drive, go south to Warm Springs Road and follow the signs. Sales office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
