Perini to build Las Ventanas

The Las Ventanas at Summerlin life-care community has selected Perini Building Co. to construct the $77 million project located at the intersection of Town Center Drive and West Charleston Boulevard.

"Perini has an excellent track record at building high-quality, luxury projects and we are pleased that they have been selected to bring the plans for Las Ventanas to fruition," said Suzanne Caldarello, director of marketing for Las Ventanas.

Perini is also building The Palms Casino Hotel, Green Valley Ranch Station Casino, Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas, and the Caesars Palace expansion. Projects completed in recent years include Paris Las Vegas, Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas, and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

The community will offer 198 independent-living residences, 60 assisted-living suites, and 60 private and semiprivate rooms for skilled nursing care.

"Las Ventanas residents will enjoy active lifestyles, maintenance-free living, diverse social events and unmatched support services," Caldarello said.

Amenities at the 17-acre, Tuscan-designed campus include a swimming pool, outdoor theater, performing arts center, dining room and several private dining rooms, library, cyber cafe, business center, and barber shop/beauty salon.

The project is being developed by Westport Senior Living of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Greystone Communities of Dallas.

The information center, located at 10000 West Charleston Blvd., Suite 160, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
