Pardee plans opening of Fiesta

Pardee Homes recently added its Fiesta neighborhood to its offerings in North Las Vegas.

During the neighborhood's grand-opening celebration next weekend, a gas barbecue valued at $500 and donated by Southwest Gas will be given away through a drawing.

"Fiesta is a great value -- a little hidden jewel of a neighborhood up at the top of the valley. It's just two miles west of our popular master-planned community of Eldorado," sales manager Rob Tuvell said.

The 120-home neighborhood features four floor plans, ranging from 1,414 to 2,315 square feet with as many as four bedrooms, three baths and a three-car garage. Prices start from the $120,000s.

"This lovely, quiet community is off the beaten path, but only minutes from two major shopping corridors. (A) 10-acre city park is less than a mile away. ... The community will have very good access to the northern section of the Las Vegas Beltway when it's complete," Tuvell said.

"To the west of Fiesta is the Spring Mountain Range and due north is the Sheep Range, which was named for the desert bighorn sheep there. These rugged mountains provide a spectacular backdrop for the community."

About two miles away will be the new municipal Silver Mesa Recreation Center, a 41,000-square-foot facility with a swimming pool and classrooms scheduled to open in January 2002.

To visit the neighborhood, take Craig Road to Allen Lane, go north and follow the signs. The models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Pardee has built homes for more than 25,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952. It is also developing the Rancho Las Palmas community in the southeastern valley, Eldorado in North Las Vegas, Nevada Trails community in the southwestern valley, and Renaissance and Crescendo neighborhoods at Seven Hills in Henderson.
