Prudential hosts 500 open houses

Prudential, Americana Group, Realtors continues its semiannual Weekend of 500 open houses today throughout the Las Vegas Valley, according to Mark Stark, chief executive officer of the realty company. Open houses allow any party to visit a home for sale without making arrangements in advance.

"You don't need an appointment and you don't need a key. Just look for the ... signs in your neighborhood or call one of our branch offices near you for a complete list or directions to all featured homes," Stark said.

Stark said the local real estate market has never been more favorable for home buying and selling.

"The combination of prevailing factors in our marketplace present a rare and unique opportunity for those who want to purchase or sell a residential property," Stark said.

Nationwide, real estate activity has been fueled by low mortgage interest rates and an abundance of mortgage funds.
