McLaughlin said construction at C2 Lofts in Summerlin is on schedule with first move-ins anticipated for late 2006. The development in Summerlin at the Las Vegas Beltway and West Charleston Boulevard will include two five-story buildings, housing 100 lofts, priced from $700,000 to $1.2 million.

"This is an excellent time to visit C2 Lofts in Summerlin," McLaughlin said. "At this point in time, you can really see the unique exterior architecture taking shape, plus we are able to invite prospective buyers to actually come out to the site and tour the lofts that are under construction in our first building. It's an opportunity for buyers to get a true sense of the architectural drama and volume these lofts offer, as well as the stunning views of the city and Red Rock Canyon."
Eight designs are offered and include as much as 2,800 square feet. The loft residences will feature the minimalist styling of exposed duct work, expansive windows and ceiling heights that range from 10 to 12 feet in the single-story lofts and 20 feet in the two-story lofts. The homes include features and amenities in the base price, such as stainless steel appliances, upgraded cabinetry, granite counter tops and Kohler plumbing fixtures.
The community features panoramic views of the Spring Mountains and city lights and Las Vegas Strip. Each loft will have a private outdoor terrace.
McLaughlin emphasized that C2 Lofts is a Christopher company.
"Anyone familiar with the name Christopher, will know that they can expect only the finest in workmanship and materials in every aspect of C2 Lofts in Summerlin. It's just an added measure of assurance for our buyers to know that the same management team behind Southern Nevada's leading builder of luxury homes is overseeing the construction of their lofts."
Home buyers may consulate with a C2 Lofts Design Center professional who can help create an interior design suited to their individual taste and lifestyle. Buyers have extensive opportunities to customize with luxuries such as fireplaces, brick wall treatments and various flooring and stone counter top options.
Loft living consultant Frances Smock said that nearly all of the lofts in the first of the two buildings to be constructed are already sold and residents will be moving in this winter. Sales will soon begin for lofts in the second building.
"We are still offering special introductory pricing, which means there is still time to get in on the ground floor and take advantage of an excellent selection of lofts, including some with spectacular Red Rock Canyon and city light views," Smock said.
Located in the heart of Summerlin, the lofts offer urban-style living in an area known for its natural beauty, as well as vast opportunities for indoor and outdoor recreation and entertainment.
The new residences will feature a wide range of on-site amenities, including a heated pool, two spas, a proposed fitness center, a private, enclosed parking garage and retail shops on the main level. Each of the loft buildings will also have a landscaped roof garden with a fire pit, fireplace, barbecues and lounging area. The roof gardens will provide a perfect spot to socialize, relax and enjoy views of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and the city lights.
An executive golf club membership to Red Rock Country Club is included with each purchase, which will entitle residents to year-round use of the golf courses, clubhouse, sports club, tennis and swimming facilities.
Residents will be within a short stroll or drive to retail shopping centers, restaurants, parks and walking trails. The lofts are within a short distance of the Summerlin Centre, a retail, dining, office and park space and The new Red Rock Resort casino.
Based on the success of C2 Lofts in Summerlin, plans have been announced for a C2 Lofts Upper West Side in the northwest valley near U.S. Highway 95 and West Lake Mead Boulevard, according to McLaughlin.
The Upper West Side project will provide residents with a live-work-and-play environment, centered by a main street with loft residences above retail shops, restaurants and offices.
The proposed amenities for this project will include an 18,000-square-foot Lifestyle Building that will house a swimming pool, spas, water features, fitness center, treatment rooms, juice bar, theater room, business center and concierge services.
A professionally decorated and furnished model loft for the new project is open daily at the C2 Lofts in the Summerlin Preview Center. Prospective buyers may arrange for a private tour of the lofts at the construction site. Prices are anticipated to start in the low $400,000s and an interest list is being formulated only at the C2 Lofts Preview Center.
