MacDonald Highlands lots feature varying terrain
MacDonald Highlands in Henderson remains distinct from other developments with its variety of home site offerings, according to Rich MacDonald, president of MacDonald Cos. "Whether it's a dramatic cliff, hidden canyon, flat mesa or beautiful golf course lot, MacDonald Highlands has something to offer those wishing to build a private estate," MacDonald said. The Lochmere neighborhood features home sites with golf course, lake and waterfall views that range from one-quarter acre to one-third acre. For a limited time, purchases include a full golf membership to DragonRidge Country Club, which includes a course designed by Jay Morrish and David Druzisky. The Palisades neighborhood's varying topography is evident in its home sites. Palisades I and II provide hillside lots that can accommodate terraced, multi-level homes and offer views of the city and golf course, while Palisades III features flat lots just off the private DragonRidge golf course. The lots range from about one-half acre to 2 1/2 acres and are priced from $276,000. For a limited time, Palisades III includes a full golf membership to the country club. The Highlands neighborhood features custom lots that range from about one-third acre to one-half acre. Prices start at $180,000. "The Highlands neighborhood offers some of the best lots in the Las Vegas Valley, as many Southern Nevadans discovered while attending the Street of Dreams," MacDonald said. "With its varying topography, from hillside, bi-level to flat, not only does MacDonald Highlands accommodate those buyers who prefer multi-level elevations, but those who prefer single story as well." Upon completion, the community will feature 17 neighborhoods spread over 1,200 acres. Currently, eight custom neighborhoods are under development with lots priced from $179,000 to more than $3.5 million. Construction is anticipated to begin in the near future on the DragonRidge clubhouse, which will feature a golf shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, dining room, and mixed grill and lounge. A temporary clubhouse is open, and tee times are available. Other plans include linear parks and three community parks that will encompass about 10 acres and feature tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; play areas; and picnic facilities. Also planned are five to six miles of fitness trails that meander throughout the community and provide access to nature trails leading into the mountains. To visit the community's information office at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and travel south. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
