Caribbean sounds fill Seven Hills

Last weekend's free concert at Sonata Park in Seven Hills drew about 1,500 music lovers. Island Tyme presented a blend of reggae, Caribbean, calypso and jazz stylings.

The concert was sponsored by the Seven Hills Builders and the Henderson Parks and Recreation Department.

"Throughout the year, the Seven Hills Builders have sponsored and co-sponsored a number of events for the enjoyment of all area residents," community marketing manager Samantha Bonham said. "We now have more than 2,500 families living in Seven Hills and as the community continues to grow, so does the popularity of these events. It is very gratifying to see so many new neighbors getting to know each other and having such a great time in their community."

A development of Silver Canyon Partnership, the 1,300-acre community will comprise more than 3,000 homes in 25 neighborhoods, including about 300 custom homes. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s, and custom lots range from the $200,000s to more than $1 million. City, golf course and mountain views are available.

About one-third of the community's acreage is dedicated to open space, including pedestrian trails and four city parks.

The community's sales pavilion is located on Seven Hills Drive, about one mile west of the Eastern Avenue and St. Rose Parkway intersection. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
