COLUMN: Construction contract awarded for MGM/Mirage Design Center
-- Clark & Sullivan Constructors has been awarded the construction contract for the MGM/Mirage parking garage at 3620 S. Industrial Road. The project consists of the design and construction of a 205,000-square-foot, 562-space precast concrete garage. Construction costs are estimated at $5.3 million and groundbreaking is scheduled for September. -- SR Construction completed construction of a park at Ridge Hollow Drive and Ridge Brook Road in The Ridges village within Summerlin. The Howard Hughes Corp. is developer of the project, which broke ground in February. Construction costs are estimated to be in the area of $1.25 million. -- Geotechnical & Environmental Services has been awarded the geotechnical engineering and environmental assessment contract for Terracina South, a 22-acre site on St. Rose Parkway, between Haven Street and Gillespie Road, to be developed by KB Home. -- Re/Max Absolute's David Fordham represented SW Modular in its 36-month lease of 6,620 square feet at 4460 Arville St. from Premier Properties, represented by Rod Harbaugh of Lee and Associates, for $127,700. -- Lee and Associates' Steven Santanna represented Oak Hill Mortgage in its 21-month lease of 4,923 square feet at 1140 Town Center Drive, Suite 300, from HSBC Bank, represented by David Afromsky of Colliers International, for $187,566. Santanna also represented M.A.S. Enterprises in its 60-month lease of 3,082 square feet at 5720 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite 101, from South Tech Properties for $127,629. Cliff Evarts and Michael Hansell represented B&J Brand Family Trust in its sale of 3,000 square feet at 1811 S. Jones Blvd. to Ms. Elle Inc., represented by John Dawson of FMI Property, for $620,000. -- CB Richard Ellis' Suzette LaGrange represented Wells Fargo Bank, Nevada in its five-year lease of 2,897 square feet at 3320 W. Sahara Ave. to the Nevada Title Co. for $320,000. In another transaction, Darren Lemmon represented Glenborough Fund IX in its three-year lease of 871 square feet at 3900 Paradise Road to Casamar Holdings for $59,000. Derek Rafie represented Penzoil Quaker State in the sale of an 1,829-square-foot building at 2308 E. Craig Road to Highway 15 L.L.C. for $757,000. -- Renee Ryan-Thrailkill of Millennium Commercial Real Estate Services represented the Las Vegas Circuit Breakers in its 37-month lease of 4,005 square feet at 5075 Cameron St. from Red, represented by Doug Albright and Trevor Prinz of Albright Callister and Associates, for $100,579.
