-- A groundbreaking was held for South Pointe Plaza, a 246,412-square-foot development located on the southeast corner of Eastern Avenue and Coronado Center Drive in Henderson. When complete, it will consist of high-end retail users, and feature 110,000 square feet of medical and office buildings.

-- RDS Associates began construction on the Cabo Rico Cantina & Grill, a 6,000-square-foot Mexican restaurant, sports bar and tavern located at 10400 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson.

-- Penny Mendlovic and Kathy Campbell of NAI Horizon represented TFFO in the seven-year lease of 14,700 square feet at 209 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson from the Stephanie Promenade for $1.6 million. Michael Shaffner and Peter Moore represented EBA Associates in the sale of Emerald Bay Apartments, a 336-unit complex on 14.26 acres at 4701 E. Sahara Ave., to WLA Investments, represented by Diane Miramontes of NAI BRE, for $13.9 million. Doug Schuster and Garry Cuff represented Greenbriar Real Estate Holding in the sale of Sunpointe Apartments, a 112-unit complex on 4.43 acres at 2870 S. Decatur Blvd., to Mekong Realty and Mortgage, represented by Van Nguyen of Mekong Realty and Mortgage, for $4.8 million. Eddie Gutzman represented Windmill Partnership/Decatur 10 in the sale of 15 acres at the northwest corner of Decatur Boulevard and Windmill Lane from Jorant for $4.5 million.

Moore & Associates, for $295,000. E. John Sweetland represented Frank Canul in the sale of 5,920 square feet at 4275 W. Post Road to Nevada Distribution & Control, represented by E.J. Paul Sweetland, for $599,000.

-- Jayne Cayton of CB Richard Ellis represented Union Planters Corp. in the five-year lease of 2,882 square feet at 2235 Renaissance Drive to Renaissance Partners for $271,000. In another transaction, Karolina Janik represented Paragon Enterprises in the three-year lease of 8,660 square feet at 6145 S. Valley View Blvd. at the Koll Business Center from Valley View for $191,500. Spencer Ballif, Jeff Swinger and Keith Spencer represented the Heers Family Trust in the sale of the 230-unit apartment building at 3825 Cambridge St. to South Chase for $8.4 million.

-- Renee Ryan-Thrailkill of Millennium Commercial Real Estate Services represented Lipkin Enterprises in its 120-month lease of 6,218 square feet at 3909 S. Maryland Parkway to Las Vegas Field and Focus, represented by Larry Singer and Mike Tabeek of Coldwell Banker Commercial, for $1.18 million.

Decatur Blvd., Suite 104, to Fratelli di Vini for $145,872. In another transaction, LaPour again represented the company in its 63-month lease of 2,752 square feet in the WesTech Business Center at 5565 S. Decatur Blvd., Suite 108, to Howard Stanford, dba Alphagraphics, for $238,456.
