Pulte Homes places technology at forefront
Chris Melson is eager to move into his new home at Pulte's Silverstone Ranch community in the northwestern valley. Melson, a realty agent, was impressed with the builder's included technology features since he was looking for the ability to work at home. "It is important to me that I have high-speed Internet access in my new home office. The fact that Pulte thinks ahead and prepares the home for `tomorrow's technological possibilities' is a great benefit to me," Melson said. Homes feature a structured media center that enhances audio and video distribution, while making provisions for future optical and digital upgrades. "At Pulte, we understand that technology is a large part of building a home that performs for life," director of construction Nat Hodgson said. "Performance Wiring is perfect for those who wish to work from home or just want the comfort of knowing they can upgrade their technology needs as they go." Melson purchased a two-story 1890 plan from the Merion Collection. It has three bedrooms with an optional loft, a great room with dining room or parlor, and a front courtyard. "I just fell in love with the 1890 and all of the included features," he said. "Pulte's Silverstone Ranch community is the best value for my money, which is very important to me. Silverstone Ranch is an absolutely beautiful location with a breathtaking mountain backdrop and golf course setting." Six collections of homes, including a townhouse development with a social center, will be featured. Eighteen of 20 available designs are modeled. Homes range from 1,520 to 3,448 square feet and are priced from $203,990 to $444,990. Each home features the Platinum Plus Series Environments for Living building technology. In addition to being recognized as Energy Star homes by the Environmental Protection Agency, they come with a three-year heating and cooling guarantee. The community is built around the fairways of Silverstone Golf Club. The 27-hole championship course offers three nines and is complemented by a 34,000-square-foot clubhouse. Planned amenities include parks, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds and arbors. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Durango Drive, head east to Grand Teton Drive and turn right. Proceed to Buffalo Drive, turn left and follow the signs. The sales center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at noon. The builder has more than 20 subdivisions in the valley. Its Del Webb brand is a leading builder of age-qualified communities. It also operates a mortgage division.
