Lifestyle draws duo to Sun City Aliante
Irene and Michael Friedman were looking for a congenial lifestyle and found it at Del Webb's Sun City Aliante age-qualified community. "Without a doubt, this is a more social way of life," Irene Friedman said. "It's so friendly here and easy to meet other people. Even when I'm walking our dog, Misty, people stop to chat." Originally from New York, the Friedmans met in California. After moving to Las Vegas, they operated a candy shop for several years. Now, Michael Friedman is a manager at a financial institution and Irene Friedman sells women's wear. They selected a Cedar model from the Cypress Collection. The Friedmans cited the floor plan and great and dining rooms as their primary reasons for buying the 1,716-square-foot home with three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen nook and rear patio. Sun City, the age-qualified component of the new Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas, is being developed around an 18-hole, 6,900-yard, par-72 municipal golf course. Additional amenities will include tennis and bocce courts, a swimming pool, fitness center, and club and hobby rooms. "I'm looking forward to using the community swimming pool and joining craft clubs. I work out six days a week, so I'm especially interested in the fitness center," Irene Friedman said. "We are not the type of people to sit around. We are looking forward to meeting more people and being active. In fact, we even hope to form a club for New Yorkers." Home prices range from the high $160,000s to the mid-$250,000s. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go north. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
