Buyer at home in KB neighborhood
Michael Pizzi saved diligently for his first home, which he found at KB Home's Liberty at Warm Springs in the southwestern valley. Pizzi said the 1,302-square-foot Yorktown model he purchased suits his needs perfectly. "The balcony on the second floor was a big draw for me," he said. "It also has a really open floor plan and utilizes small space well. But the energy-efficient options were one of the best things about the home." Pizzi opted for energy-efficient windows, an upgraded thermostat and radiant barrier roofing in the home. He said the options effectively repel the heat. He also knew of the builder's reputation. "KB Home is a good company that offers good value for their homes. That works for me." Six two-story designs are offered, ranging from 1,267 to 1,486 square feet with two to four bedrooms and one-car garages. Homes prices start in the $220,000s. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Durango Drive, go south to Warm Springs Road and turn right. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. One-stop shopping is offered at the KB Home Studio, located just south of Warm Springs Road at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201. Its Homebuyers Club offers potential clients free assistance including credit reports, a review of their financial situation and credit counseling.
