Jazz event draws many to Aliante
Hundreds of music lovers came out for the second annual All That Jazz event held at the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Sponsored by North Valley Enterprises, the developer of Aliante, and the city of North Las Vegas' parks and recreation department, the event featured performances by jazz artists Rocky Gordon and The Killer Groove Band, as well as Billy Ray Charles. All ages gathered at the community's 20-acre Nature Discovery Park to enjoy music under the stars, Kimiko Peterson, community marketing manager, said. "Aliante is rapidly becoming recognized for bringing fine entertainment programs to the Southern Nevada community," she said. "This was our second annual All That Jazz concert and the turnout was outstanding. It is rewarding to us to see so many residents and visitors enjoy an evening of entertainment in the unique atmosphere of Nature Discovery Park." The 1,905-acre community features all-ages and age-qualified villages. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s to the $700,000s. Nearly one-fourth of the community is designated for recreational and public purposes, and about 100 acres of commercial development. North Valley Enterprises is an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south. An information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
