Huntington fits couple's lifestyle
Matt and Jennifer Nelson are constantly on the go. He is a regional airline pilot and she is a district sales manager for a food manufacturing company. They travel at least once a month and wanted a convenient place to call home.
The couple bought their first home at The Huntington, developed by Del Webb Corp.'s Coventry Homes. Before moving to Las Vegas from California in June, they researched their home-buying options.
"We started with the big picture when we moved to Las Vegas and knew we wanted to stick with a good builder," Matt Nelson said. "We saw the whole process when Jennifer's parents bought their home at Sun City Summerlin, and knew Del Webb's quality firsthand."Nelson also said the Malibu floor plan and proximity to the airport helped influence their decision.
"When we're home, Jennifer spends a lot of time doing business and we plan to use the loft area for her office," Nelson said. "The floor plan also feels more open than others we had seen, and we like the garage being offset from the front of the house."
Their two-story, 1,522-square-foot home features two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a loft, a porch and a patio. It also offers front-yard landscaping and rear- and side-yard fencing.
The interior offers ceramic-tile counter tops, dual sinks in the owner bath and ceramic-tile flooring in the entry.
Homes range from 1,156 to 2,196 square feet and are priced from $110,000 to $150,000.
To visit, take Eastern Avenue to Silverado Ranch Boulevard and head west.
Models are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 10 a.m. on Friday.
