Yacht tour of Lake Las Vegas Resort gives new perspective to home buyers
Lake Las Vegas Resort is offering prospective buyers a tour of the residential and resort destination from the deck of its yacht, according to Sherri O'Boyle, vice president of marketing for the community in Henderson.
"Seeing Lake Las Vegas Resort from the water gives buyers a whole new perspective than only seeing the community from land," O'Boyle said.
Available by appointment only, tours will show neighborhoods, the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort and two golf courses.
"This is really the last opportunity for buyers to take a yacht tour of the property," O'Boyle said. "Sometime in December the yacht, which has served us for many years, will be retired to Lake Mead."
The master-planned community is surrounded by federally owned land. Activities include hiking, fishing, sailing and golfing.
The new neighborhood at the guard-gated SouthShore community is PortaCielo. It will offer 72 Mediterranean-style homes in three floor plans, each with design options. Homes range from 2,460 to 3,500 square feet. Prices begin in the upper $400,000s, with additional lot premiums.
Features include French doors, pedestal-style sinks, granite counter tops, island preparation centers, fireplaces and owner suites with walk-in closets.
PortoFino, a neighborhood of 50 waterfront homes, is planned.
Amenities in the community include the Reflection Bay Golf Club, the Reflection Bay Golf & Beach Club and the waterside La Chandele at Reflection Bay restaurant. Proposed facilities include hotels, European-style gaming, spa facilities, at least four 18-hole golf courses, a retail village and restaurants.
The first residential offering on the northern shores is MonteCatini, a community of multi-acre family home sites priced from $2 million to $5.8 million.
A gated community of 52 home sites, some with views of the Reflection Bay Golf Club, is planned. Prices will start at $265,000.
The community is being developed by Transcontinental Properties Inc.
To visit, take Lake Mead Drive, seven miles east of Boulder Highway, to Lake Las Vegas Parkway. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
