Real Estate Achievements
n Nevada Title Co. has established a special escrow unit to serve Asian home buyers in the Las Vegas market. It will be headed by Vivian Yoon-Smith, who was born in South Korea and grew up in Hong Kong. Yoon-Smith joined Nevada Title five years ago and has worked on commercial and residential transactions. She began her career in the escrow business in 1986.
n Gary Burgher opened his own company, Pro Commercial Real Estate, at 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 14-Q. He was earlier affiliated with Terra West Realty.
n WL Homes, based in Irvine, Calif., and Norwest Mortgage, based in Des Moines, Iowa, launched the joint venture Western Colonial Mortgage Partnership to offer financing to buyers of homes built by John Laing Homes and Watt Homes. WL Homes was formed in 1998 with the merger of John Laing Homes and Watt Homes. The joint venture is pending regulatory approval.
n RE/Sys Real Estate, a property management firm, has appointed Rhett L. Partie to the newly created post of director of new accounts and marketing.
n Realty Executives' Terri White represented Scott and Cindy Smith in the purchase of the Brand New Look Beauty Salon at 1811 S. Jones Blvd. from Debra Ryan for $195,000. Nevada First Business Brokers' Jeff Nyman represented the seller. Also, Terri and Burton White represented Jim and Dale Robins in the sale of a 3,200-square-foot building on .85 acres at 3151 S. Jones Blvd. to Garden Memorial Funeral Home for $725,000. Reiss Corp. represented the buyer.
n CB Richard Ellis' Kevin Higgins and Paul Hoyt negotiated the 10-year lease of 21,120 square feet at 4601 E. Cheyenne Ave. by DB Operating Partnership to AMFAX Inc. for $955,000.
n Marcus & Millichap's John Leonard and William Kennedy represented both parties in the sale of the 24-unit Kym's Court Apartments at 1400 S. Casino Center Blvd. by Ralph Ennis, Khampahanh Ennis and Glenn Hershberger to Fumihiro and Kyoko Inagaki of Japan for $710,000.
n CB Richard Ellis' Brady Roman represented LV Atrium Inc. in the three-year lease of 3,738 square feet at 333 N. Rancho Drive to Rockwell Mortgage for $235,000. In another transaction, Roman negotiated the three-year lease of 3,827 square feet at 333 N. Rancho Drive by LV Atrium to McNair & Associates for $230,000.
n Lee & Associates' Chuck Witters negotiated the sale of a 23,935-square-foot building at 5052-5092 S. Jones Blvd. by Nevada Real Estate Group Co. to AIQ Inc. and Northwest 2000 for $3.48 million.
n Colliers International's Michael DeLew, Thomas van Betten and Spencer Pinter represented both parties in the 52-month lease of 26,880 square feet at 3824 N. 5th St. in North Las Vegas by Rocklin Co. to X10 USA Inc. for $457,995. In another transaction, DeLew, van Betten and Greg Pancirov represented Concorde Investment Group in the 61-month lease of 5,956 square feet at 1889 E. Maule Ave. to CAS Golf Technologies for $199,562. In another transaction, they negotiated the 64-month lease of 1,200 square feet at 3900 Paradise Road by Glenborough Fund VII Co. to J.D. Wine Corp. for $115,832. In another transaction, Pat Marsh represented Enclosure Concepts in the 20-month lease of 5,760 square feet at 6340 S. Sandhill Road from Sand Post Co. for $60,000.
n Coldwell Banker Com- mercial-ETN's David Howell represented Bernals Furniture in the three-year lease of 4,492 square feet at 4301 S. Valley View Blvd. from Terra Grandis for $81,000.

In another transaction, Xavier Wasiak, Joe Feno and Heather Hicks represented both parties in C&N Machinery's three-year lease of 3,480 square feet at 340 Sunpac Court from Los Nevados-Sunpac Co. for $77,445. In another transaction, Stubbs and Wasiak represented both parties in Ultra-Pure Drinking Water's three-year lease of 1,600 square feet at 4230 N. Pecos Road in North Las Vegas from Pecos Co. for $43,909.
n NAI Americana Commercial's David Scherer represented Canyon State Oil in the purchase of 25,000 square feet at 4581 Eaker St. from Rastra of Las Vegas for $1.85 million. Also, Don Chism represented the Kolob Group in the sale of 26.72 acres at Washburn Road and Decatur Boulevard to Developers of Nevada for $1.25 million. Also, Frank Elam represented Basil Harrika in the 10-year lease of 1,068 square feet at 1195 E. Desert Inn Road from the 1195 East Desert Inn Road Co. for $390,000. In another transaction, Penny Mendlovic represented R.F. Morgan Co. in the five-year lease of 8,000 square feet at 3318 E. Flamingo Road from Vista Management for $176,232.
n Century 21 MoneyWorld Commercial Division's Jay Jacobsen represented both parties in the sale of .66 acres at the northwest corner of Cheyenne Avenue and Nellis Boulevard by Jong and Susan Lee to The Car Hop for $215,000.
