Desert Shores Villas sales staff reports brisk activity at complex

Sales are reported brisk at Desert Shores Villas, a condominium complex in the northwestern Las Vegas Valley. SunVest Communities, the developer, said 310 of the 424 units available have been sold since the development opened for sales July 1.

Louis Birdman, chief executive of the South Florida-based firm, said the property is "an excellent example" of what the company offers to home buyers.

"It offers luxury living with many wonderful amenities in a first-class location," he said. "This beautiful property is located within Desert Shores, which features man-made lakes and an exclusive beach club."

The units range from 703 to 1,109 square feet. Patios are standard with each unit and expand the square footage by 49 to 69 square feet, per plan.

Buyers can choose from a one-bedroom, one-bath unit; a pair of two-bedroom, two-bath designs; and two plans with three bedrooms and two baths.

The individual homes provide private entries; walk-in closets; washer/dryers; and reserved, covered parking.

Prices start from the mid-$100,000s. Immediate occupancy is available.

Each purchase includes membership to the Desert Shores Beach Club with beach, clubhouse, boathouse, tennis courts, walking and cycling paths, basketball courts, volleyball courts and picnic facilities. Fishing is permitted in the three lakes which are stocked year-round. Nonmotorized boats are also permitted.

Other shared amenities include two resort-style swimming pools, a clubhouse with fitness and business centers, and extensive balconies.

The gated development is located at Cheyenne Avenue and Rampart Boulevard.

The sales office and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

SunVest Communities has developed condominium conversions, luxury high-rise condominiums and resort condo-hotels in Florida since 1973. In addition to Las Vegas, the company has interests in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Ariz.; Houston; and Vail, Colo.
