Turnberry Towers, a dual 45-story condominium development one block from the Strip, is attracting many second- and vacation-home buyers, according to John Riordan, Turnberry's senior vice president.
"Many vacation home shoppers are opting to forgo the upkeep of a single-family home and investing in a high-rise condominium at Turnberry Towers because of its amenities, close proximity to the Las Vegas Strip and the developer's reputation," he said. "The high-rise lifestyle is appealing to many prospective purchasers who are looking for low-maintenance living in a secure, private environment."

Architecturally designed by Robert M. Swedroe Architects and Planners, each tower within the gated property will comprise 318 condominium homes, with one- to three-bedrooms.
"The one bedrooms were heavily in demand at our fourth tower at Turnberry Place so when we designed Turnberry Towers, we created floor plans to accommodate purchasers looking for smaller residences as well as larger ones," Riordan said.
The two-bedroom homes include two baths, a den, living room, floor-to-ceiling windows, and 180-degree views. Situated on the top 12 floors of the towers are the three-bedroom residences which feature an oversized balcony overlooking the Strip.
All of the homes feature intercom technology for valet and concierge services. Resident amenities in each tower include a fitness facility, outdoor pool with sun deck, landscaping, tennis court, valet, 24-hour security.
Construction on the East Tower has surpassed the 40th floor, and the West Tower has reached the 6th floor. Completion is slated for mid-2007 for the East Tower, and spring 2008 for the West Tower.
Sales are brisk, with less than 150 of the 636 residences left, according to Riordan.
All buyers will receive a two-year membership to the Stirling Club, which includes monthly dues.
A 1,658-square-foot, fully furnished model suite is displayed at the sales office, located at 222 Karen Ave., and open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
