Retiree purchases fifth Pulte home
Mary Carroll, a retired flight attendant, recently purchased a home in Pulte's Eden Ridge neighborhood.
It was her latest Pulte acquisition, as she also owns a residence in Queensridge, as well as three townhomes at Cottonwood Terrace.
"I knew I needed to make a change after losing my husband to cancer last year, so I began searching for a home that offered me a fresh start," Carroll said. "I loved my Pulte home at Queensridge and the exceptional service I received so much so that I began looking at other Pulte communities. Eden Ridge was attractive to me because it's located in Summerlin, yet the development is relatively small, allowing for a more intimate lifestyle."
Three single-story models are available, ranging from 3,087 to 3,890 square feet. Prices start at $400,990. The home sites can be as sizable as three-quarters of an acre.
The designs, per plan, include courtyards and patio fireplaces, in addition to casita and cabana options.
Carroll chose the Savoy model, which features a gated courtyard with an optional fireplace and is the only model that offers a five-car garage. Ranging from 3,735 to 4,300 square feet, the home is a single-story design.
The model has four bedrooms, a den or office, 3 1/2 baths, a kitchen with a center island, family room with a fireplace, dining and formal living room, and optional fifth bedroom and bath or game room.
"I personalized my home by upgrading various features such as the carpet and tiling, as well as adding both the casita and cabana to the layout of my home," Carroll said. "The Savoy model gives me a sense of casual elegance with the beautifully designed courtyard and the flow of the floor plan."
Another model is the Rad- cliffe, measuring from 3,087 to 3,391 square feet with an optional cabana, three bedrooms, an office or den, 3 1/2 baths, a three-car garage, family room, formal living room, dining room and kitchen with a center island.
The Biltmore also features a gated courtyard, standard casita with a full bath as well as optional cabana, and three-car garage. It can be as large as 4,194 square feet with an owner's suite with separate vanities, tub and separate shower, two walk-in closets, and a commode with optional bidet.
To visit, take Sahara Avenue west to Town Center Drive, go left, then right on Havenwood Lane, right into the Willow Creek community and follow the signs. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when the models open at noon.
Through Sept. 30, visitors at any of the builder's neighborhoods can enter the Pulte Dream Home Sweepstakes, in which one grand prize winner will have an opportunity to select a home of their choice ($250,000 toward a home) from any of the builder's more than 400 neighborhoods nationwide. The winner will be announced Dec. 8.
