Grandview targets single-story buyers
Perma-Bilt Homes' Grandview features a collection of all single-story floor plans within the Shadow Hills planned community, where more than 140 homes have been sold in 18 months.
"There's definitely a strong group of new-home shoppers in this market who desire to live in a single-story home in an all single-story neighborhood and the sales at Grandview reflect this," Ruth Ochoa, vice president of sales and marketing for the builder, said.
"Grandview revisits the concept of ranch-style homes featuring spacious single-story homes on oversized lots," Ochoa said. "And, we have buyers in all categories from young families to retirees who are choosing these single-story homes."
The gated-entrance neighborhood features four floor plans that range from 1,763 square feet to 2,460 square feet. Prices start from the $170,000s.
Residents of Grandview have access to the Shadow Hills Club, a 51,000-square-foot recreation facility featuring a clubhouse with fitness facilities, swimming pool and lap pool, spa, saunas, a basketball court, putting green and barbecue area.
Among the plans offered are the Lone Mountain, which measures 1,763 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths, and a three-car split garage and den option. The garage provides direct access to the kitchen and can be converted to a casita.
The Desert Flower offers 1,937 square feet with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, kitchen with breakfast nook, adjoining family room and a den option.
The Sun Rise has four bedrooms, two baths and a powder room and measures 2,103 square feet. The interior features an island kitchen with adjoining family room, as well as an optional den.
The City Lights plan has four bedrooms plus an optional fifth bedroom, 2 1/2 baths and measures 2,460 square feet. The kitchen contains a breakfast nook with direct access to the covered patio, family room with built-in media niche, fireplace and a den option.
The builder is planning an all single-story home neighborhood at its Southern Terrace planned community, which is located in the southwest valley and scheduled to open in spring 2001.
To visit Grandview, take U.S. Highway 95 to Cheyenne Avenue and go west. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday.
