Seven lots remain in Summerlin's Willow Falls

Custom lots are nearly sold out at Willow Falls, a custom-home neighborhood at Willow Creek, a section of The Willows village in the Summerlin master-planned community.

Seven of the neighborhood's 80 one-third-acre lots remain, according to Stew Gibbons, executive vice president of The Howard Hughes Corp., which oversees the community's development.

"Less than two years ago, Willow Creek represented a new development concept for Summerlin," Gibbons said. "While there have always been individual pockets of luxury and custom-home neighborhoods throughout Summerlin, Willow Creek is the first development in which so many different luxury and custom-home neighborhoods were assembled within a single area. Sales at Willow Falls -- 73 custom lots sold in less than two years -- underscore the success of that concept."

Willow Creek features three other luxury neighborhoods, all of which share a 24-hour, guard-gated entry highlighted by a waterfall cascading off a stone edifice.

Residents have access to a 7.4-acre linear park that includes two tennis courts, a tennis pavilion, a half basketball court and playground.

"Sharing amenities, such as a guarded gate, makes a lot of sense from both a lifestyle and economic point of view," Gibbons said. "Private recreational facilities, such as parks and sport courts, become more affordable when shared by a larger number of homeowners. Plus, grouping similarly priced neighborhoods creates an upscale environment that many of today's homeowners are looking for."

Summerlin aligns the western edge of the valley and is comprised of villages, each with a major park or golf course. The community features two Tournament Players Club golf courses, a Jack Nicklaus Bear's Best course and five others. In addition to nearly 100 village and neighborhood parks, there are more than 90 completed miles of trails, 16 schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, business parks and medical centers.

Nearly 130 model homes are open.

Single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums are available, and priced from under $100,000 to more than $700,000.

Custom lots from one-quarter acre to three-quarters of an acre are priced from the mid-$100,000s to more than $1 million, and predesigned custom homes are priced from $500,000 to more than $1 million. Apartments offer monthly rents starting from the $700s.

To visit the community's home finding center, take Sahara Avenue west, past Hualapai Way, to Town Center Drive. Or, take Interstate 215 to the Sahara exit.

The office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
