Sun City Anthem restaurant receives recognition

Trumpets Restaurant, located in Del Webb Corp.'s Anthem Center, recently received exceptional ratings in service, decor and food from Zagat's guide to fine dining, a reviewer of restaurants worldwide.

"We're very excited to be ranked among the top restaurants in Las Vegas," food and beverage director Ellen Marconi said. "Especially since we have been open for just over a year."

Zagat's description of Trumpets stated: "Spectacular views of the city hit the right note at this American-fusion yearling located in the newly built Anthem Center in Henderson. The menu is wonderful with service to match, and grown-ups go for the quiet ambiance enhanced by weekend piano music."

Anthem Center is a 75,000-square-foot community center located within Sun City Anthem.

Marconi called the food eclectic.

"We serve American food prepared with an Asian or Southwest flair. We also have a new executive chef, Michael Perkins, and are looking forward to major menu changes this fall," she said.

Decorated with rich woods, fabrics and sculptures, Trumpets is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and serves a Sunday buffet brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Sunday dinner hours from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Anthem Center is located at 2450 Hampton Road in the age-qualified community.

The community offers 17 model homes, ranging from 1,080 to 3,009 square feet and more through the community's Gold Key program. Homes are priced from the high $130,000s to more than $500,000.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway. Models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
