Molasky honored by peers
-- The Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will present its second annual Lieder Award to Las Vegas developer Irwin Molasky on Sept. 12. The award is presented in recognition of excellence in real estate. -- Lake Las Vegas Resort has appointed Jack Christie as vice president of sales, a position he held most recently at the Seven Hills community in Henderson. Christie oversees all custom-home site and builder residential sales at the resort, also in Henderson. -- Nicola Harmon has been named commercial property manager for American Nevada Corp. Harmon brings six years of commercial real estate experience to her new position, where she is responsible for managing office and retail properties. Previously, she was regional estate manager for First Quench Retailing Ltd. -- James M. Stuart has opened Centra Properties at 701 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite 200, in Henderson. -- KB Home named Bonnie Hernandez senior marketing manager for the company's Las Vegas division. Hernandez was promoted from merchandising manager, a position she held for two years. -- OneCap handled the land purchase and financing for two apartment complexes built by Pacific Properties. A 404-unit complex, valued at $40 million, is under construction at Seven Hills Drive and Maryland Parkway. Construction is slated to start in October on a 564-unit complex, valued at $56 million, near Flamingo Road and Interstate 215. -- Lee and Associates' Dave Knapper and Steven J. Santana represented Wilmington National Finance in its three-year lease of 3,431 square feet at 2920 N. Green Valley Parkway from Sunset Ridge Associates for $203,801. -- CB Richard Ellis' Kevin Higgins represented Tom and Marika Burton in their purchase of an 8,889-square-foot building at 8678 W. Spring Mountain Road from Southwest Exchange Corp. for $1.5 million. In another transaction, Darren Lemmon represented Howard Hughes Properties in its three-year lease of 2,012 square feet at 1645 Village Center Circle to Robinson and Wood for $160,000. Bill Dunbar and Jeanene McClenahan represented Charleston Auto Care Plaza in its five-year lease of 2,607 square feet at 10247 W. Charleston Blvd. to Moxie Hair Studios for $390,000. -- GVA Industrial Property Group's Art Farmanali represented William and Robyn Lange in the sale of a 4,640-square-foot office building at 660 Middlegate Road in Henderson to Ideco for $410,000. Farmanali also represented Suncrest Commercial Center in the three-year lease of 12,000 square feet at 1051 Marycrest Road in Henderson to Poulter Industries for $181,667. -- Grubb and Ellis' Michael Kammerling and Nelson Tressler represented both parties in St. Tropez Shopping Center's five-year lease of 1,540 square feet at 4503 S. Paradise Road to ASA USA for $192,000. Kammerling and Tressler again represented both parties in St. Tropez Center's five-year lease of 5,990 square feet at 4503 S. Paradise Road to Hamburger Mary's for $684,098. -- Colliers International's Melissa Salas represented Spencer Associates in its sale of 272 units at 10175 Spencer St. to Southern Legacy for $19.3 million. Michael DeLew, Spencer Pinter and Greg Pancirov represented S.T.W.M.S. in its 37-month lease of 5,760 square feet at 7585 Commercial Way, Suite I, in Henderson to Nevada Electric Vehicles for $157,672. Dan Doherty, Xavier Wasiak and Brian Pankratz represented Lomas Regency in its five-year lease of 6,330 square feet at 4915 Steptoe St., Suite 100, to Price Less Furniture for $157,470. Doherty, Wasiak and Kim Friedman again represented Lomas Regency in its five-year lease of 6,500 square feet at 4915 Steptoe St., Suite 600, to City Skatepark for $155,865. Scott Gragson, John Kilpatrick and Robert Torres represented Rick and Donna Shaw in their sale of 4.62 acres at the northeast corner of Rocky Hill Street and Quail Avenue to American Medicorp Development Co. for $2.5 million. Scot Marker represented Anderson Brothers in a five-year, 4,000-square-foot lease at 4850 W. Flamingo Road to Bedtime! Mattress for $613,000.
