Golf course lots remain at Sun City Aliante

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Home sites adjacent to the golf course remain available at Sun City Aliante. The course, which is under construction, is expected to open for public play by year's end.

"The new golf course is really taking shape, and we expect sales to be brisk for the remaining home sites," said Lorraine Roberts, senior sales manager for the age-qualified community. "We have only two Helena models on the golf course ready for move-in this month, as well as opportunities for homes to be built on the course with move-ins next January."

The par-72, 18-hole championship facility was designed by golf course architect Gary Panks.

"This course is well thought out and well designed, with tees ranging from 6,970 yards to 5,355 yards," said C.A. Roberts of OB Sports Golf Management, which will oversee course operations and management. "It is designed to be challenging for seasoned golfers, yet still very player friendly, especially from the forward tees.

"Greens fees have not yet been finalized, however they will be value priced with discounts for local area residents. And course hosts will be on hand to provide golfers and visitors with personal attention."

A 3,700-square-foot clubhouse is under construction, and will feature a pro shop and grill, as well as a special events area with views of the course and surrounding mountains. The practice facility will include a double-tiered driving range, 14,000-square-foot putting green area, and a chipping green with a bunker.

"The new golf course and clubhouse will offer a friendly, social environment, good quality food and superior retail merchandise. It's all about creating a positive golf experience," Roberts said.

Sun City Aliante is the age-qualified component of the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Sun City is planned to include a recreation center with tennis and bocce courts, a swimming pool, fitness center, and club and hobby rooms.

Homes are priced from the $160,000s to mid-$250,000s.

To visit the model village, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go north. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
